The company
was formed by two beach volleyball players who decided
to create the first ever beach volleyball charity event
for the Good Friday Appeal. So with only two months to
prepare before the big event time was very limited.
Work started immediately with a few brain storming sessions
and the first concepts were drafted. In order for the
event to be a success it had to be unique and fun. It
had to be enjoyable for the players, professional and
viable for the sponsors, interesting for the spectators
and profitable for the appeal, all of this on a shoe string
budget.
The project started to move forward with the first signed
sponsor - Jeep. There after more followed suit and so
did the media. The athletes supported the concept and
even a few celebrities pitched in.
Also attending from interstate was The Olympic Beach Volleyball
Champion “Kerri Pottharst” who show cased
her skills on centre court and with perfect weather the
event was a huge success. Epic Beach Raised $3,000 for
the Royal Melbourne Childrens Hospital – Good Friday
Appeal. |
